Subtle Medicine, Profound
Effects
Homeopathy is a regulatory medicine--it
helps to regulate organ functions with only minimal external stimulation
(compare to western pharmaceuticals, and even nutritional and herbal
supplements). It is very helpful in treatment for many both acute and chronic
conditions.
Homotoxicology
is a form of homeopathy which understands disease as an expressions of the
defensive effort of the organism against toxins and its attempt to counteract
and expel them.
The underlying concept of homotoxicology is that all
manifestations of life depend on the conversion of chemical compounds. The
homotoxicology follows the principles of homeopathy: the clinical syndrome
occurring in a patient can be overcome by an artificially induced, similar
disease (Similia similibus curentur = Likes may be cured by likes.) The
anti-homotoxic remedies represent mixtures of substances of low to middle
potencies.
Every organism can be viewed as a flowing system of
elements which continuously attempts to maintain a state of homeostasis. This
balance is disturbed by the effects of toxic substances. When the organism
mounts a defense against such toxins the resulting 'battle' manifests as
disease.
In its defensive struggle the organism may win or
lose. However, symptoms are its inevitable manifestation.
While conventional or 'allopathic' drug treatment
attempts to block or transform the body's processes with chemical
substances -- which is often reflected in the patient suddenly feeling
better-homotoxicology makes use of homeopathic medications which activate the
body's own defensive and regulatory processes and help the disrupted functions
return to a level of homeostasis.
The body encounters harmful substances (homotoxins)
such as insecticides and other external chemicals, plus uric acid, cholesterol
(own to one's body) and attempts to expel or neutralize them. First, the body
tries to eliminate the toxins via excretion, e.g., diarrhea or rhinitis. If the
excretion is insufficient, a reaction ensues, such as a fever, the body's
attempt to neutralize toxins. If homotoxins continue to flow into the body, it
attempts to store or isolate them in different compartments under the form of
cellulitis or benign tumors. Unchecked, this may lead to cellular impregnation
with penetration of toxins into key organs (heart, lungs, brain), to organ
degeneration with metaplasia, and finally to the creation of neoplasm (cancerous
tissue). Once the disease reaches the cancerous stage, death of the organism may
not be far behind.
Health is freedom from homotoxins.
